CHERRY ALMOND CREAM PIE
...another delicious fresh cherry pie recipe to try ! Nice !

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 graham pie crust
  • 1 lb. can pitted sour cherries
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped
  • 1 rounded tbsp. cornstarch

INSTRUCTIONS
Blend cherries, sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened. Cool.
Make filling by mixing condensed milk, lemon juice, vanilla and almond extract. Stir until mixture thickens. Add whipped cream, mix thoroughly. Spoon into pie crust. Top with cooled cherry glaze. Chill 2-3 hours. The fresh cherry pie recipe is ready to serve...nice one !

BING CHERRY PIE

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1 c. drained, pitted bing cherries
  • 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped
  • 1 graham cracker crumb pie shell
  • 1/4 c. graham cracker crumbs (for topping)
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix Eagle Brand milk, lemon juice, drained bing cherries and nuts.
Fold in whipped cream. Pour into graham cracker crumb pie shell.
Sprinkle top of pie with graham cracker crumbs. Refrigerate 2 or more hours before serving.

SOUR CHERRY PIE

SOUR CHERRY PIE .... a great cherry pie recipes to try !

INGREDIENTS
FILLING:
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans pitted red tart cherries
  • 1 c. reserved cherry liquid
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
  • 1/3 c. cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 3-4 drops red food color
CRUST AND GLAZE:
  • Pastry for 9" double crust pie
  • Milk
  • Sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
1. For Filling: Drain cherries in large strainer over bowl, reserving 1 cup liquid. Combine 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch and salt in medium saucepan. Stir in reserved 1 cup cherry liquid. Cook and stir on medium heat 3-4 minutes or until mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
Stir in cherries, remaining 3/4 cup sugar, butter, almond extract and food color. Refrigerate 1 hour.

2. For Crust: Heat oven to 400 degrees. prepare cut and press crust into 9 inch pie plate. Spoon in filling. Cover pie with top crust. Cut slits in top crust to allow steam to escape.

3. For Glaze: Brush with milk. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until filling in center is bubbly and crust is golden brown. Cool until barely warm or to room temperature before serving.

CHERRY-BANANA PIE

CHERRY-BANANA PIE ...a nice fresh cherry pie recipe.....try it !

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pitted red tart cherries or 2 c. fresh pitted sour pie cherries
  • 1/2 c. sugar (3/4 c. sugar with fresh cherries)
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 med. bananas
INSTRUCTIONS
It is best to use fresh pie cherries.Bake pie shell according to directions. Cool. In saucepan, mix
cherries with liquid, sugar, and cornstarch. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in butter; cool. Stir in cinnamon and almond extract. Slice bananas in layer into baked pie shell. Pour filling over banana slices; chill until set. The fresh cherry pie recipes is ready to serve...easy and delicious!

NO-BAKE CHERRY PIE

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. cherry flavored gelatin
  • 1 qt. (4 c.) fresh or frozen pitted, chopped red tart cherries
  • 2 c. whipped topping
  • 2 (8") pie shells, baked

INSTRUCTIONS
Bring cornstarch, sugar and water to a boil over a low heat. Boil about 2 minutes until thick and clear. Stir in gelatin dessert until dissolved. Add cherries. Chill until mixture starts to set, then fold in whipped topping. Pour into pie shells. Chill. Yield: 2 great fresh cherry pies. Enjoy it with friends !

JELLO PUDDING CHERRY PIE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 pkg. Jell-O vanilla pudding and pie filling
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 can pitted red sour cherries
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • Few drops red food coloring
  • 1 (8 inch) baked pie shell, cooled
  • Prepared Dream Whip
  • Fresh red cherries
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine filling mix, sugar, salt, water and lemon juice in a saucepan. Blend into a smooth paste. Add cherries and cherry liquid. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil. Remove from heat; stir in butter and food coloring. Cool 5 minutes and pour into pie shell. Cool until firm, about 3 hours. Garnish with whipped topping and cherries. This great fresh cherry pie recipe is ready for feasts. Enjoy it !

CHERRY CHEESE TORTE

CHERRY CHEESE TORTE ...try this fresh cherry pie recipe....amazingly nice !

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 frozen poundcake (10 3/4 oz.) thawed
  • 1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
INSTRUCTIONS
Place softened cream cheese in container of electric food processor, and powdered sugar, lemon rind, and juice. Cover and process on high speed until well blended and smooth, stopping motor and scraping down side of bowl once or twice with rubber spatula. If mixture seems too thick, add a little more lemon juice. Remove cream cheese filling pastry bag fitted with a large star tip (or filling can be gently spread between layers).

Split thawed poundcake into three equal layers, using a long serrated knife. Place bottom layer, cut side up, on serving platter.Drain cherry pie filling by placing it in a strainer over a bowl.
Pipe or spread 1/3 of filling on bottom layer. Top with 1/2 of the cherries. Repeat layering. Top with third layer, cut side down. Cover cake with plastic wrap. Refrigerate.Decorate top of cake with mounds of cream cheese filling or frozen non-dairy whipped topping and chocolate candy wafers if you wish. Carefully spoon part of drained cherry pie syrup around cake. This nice fresh cheery pie torte is ready. Enjoy it !
